Doggerland.

We love dogs and we love East Africa. As devoted fans of the Maasai handicrafts and arts, the choice was obvious when we met our highly skilled Maasai friends and seamstresses and saw the beautiful work they create.  We want Europeans to discover the true handicraft treasures of East Africa. And what better way to do it than to let Europeans dress their most beloved companions in life in the bold and expressive colours of Africa?

The dog collars from Doggerland are all handmade, the beads stitched on the high-quality eco-friendly leather and with strong durable brass buckles. They are the perfect combination of beautiful handicraft and environmentally conscious artisanship.

The patterns are traditional Maasai, but we also add some of our own designs in the New Collections – which we will launch a couple of times a year.

Our company is based in Sweden but we spend a lot of our time in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. It actually feels like coming home every time we go there.  Our wonderful friends in the female Maasai collective of seamstresses make a living out of – amongst other handicraft – sewing these lovely dog collars.  By buying one You contribute to changing their lives for the better.
